An ideal location for arts exploration
Vi at Palo Alto: An Ideal Location for Arts Exploration

Located in the heart of Palo Alto, and with easy access to San Francisco, “our residents enjoy local culture and take advantage of our ideal location to experience world-class art and music,” said Vi at Palo Alto Lifestyle Direction Siobhan Rhea-Surraco.

Adjacent to Stanford

The main attraction for many Vi at Palo Alto residents is the proximity to Stanford University. “A majority of our residents have a Stanford affiliation, whether as alumni, professors, doctors, administrators or researchers,” said Rhea-Surraco. “Being minutes away from the campus helps the residents keep strong ties with the University.”

Many Vi at Palo Alto residents also support Stanford’s magnificent art institutions from the Anderson Collection to the Bing Concert Hall, through acts of philanthropy. “Several residents are donors and docents for the Cantor Arts Center, and we have one resident who gives tours at the Memorial Church.”

Architectural gems like the Stanford Memorial Church and the masterpieces in the Rodin Sculpture Garden are just minutes away by foot, bicycle, car or the Marguerite Shuttle which has a stop right on the Vi at Palo Alto property.

Shopping and Entertainment are Minutes Away

Being in the heart of Silicon Valley has many advantages for Vi residents beyond the arts. Located right across the street is the Stanford Shopping Center, an open-air mall where residents can enjoy an afternoon enjoying the luxury shops in the warm sunshine of the South Bay. Around the corner is Town and Country Village, another local favorite, featuring fine restaurants, upscale shops, and beautiful pedestrian walkways.

Classic movie lovers can get a taste of Hollywood’s golden age right on University Avenue, with the Stanford Theater’s film screenings and live Wurlizter organ. The vibrant, walkable district around University Ave. includes the Downtown Palo Alto Farmers’ Market and the Downtown Library.

“There really is everything you could want for entertainment within a few blocks of Vi,” said Rhea-Surraco.

Enjoy World-Class Performance from San Francisco to San Jose

For those looking to extend beyond Palo Alto, Vi is situated right between two major arteries, El Camino Real and Alameda de las Pulgas, and is equidistant from the 101 and 280 freeways. It makes zipping up to the San Francisco Ballet or down to the San Jose Opera a breeze.

“Our valets keep busy handling the flow of cars that are in and out all day,” said Rhea-Surraco. “Our residents love to drive, but if they’re looking to avoid area traffic, we also organize excursions to cultural events like Cirque de Soleil or the San Francisco Opera.”

For the residents of Vi at Palo Alto, the most popular organized event is a trip to the San Francisco Symphony. “We fill two buses with anywhere from 50-65 residents for a trip,” said Rhea-Surraco. “It’s nice because they don’t have to worry about parking, and are able to share the experience with fellow classical music enthusiasts.”

The Palo Alto CalTrain station is just five minutes from Vi, providing residents yet another option for visiting sites throughout the Peninsula.
